Despite releasing an album less than six months ago, Ne-Yo says he is working on a follow-up. His upcoming release will be a collaborative effort with rapper Fabolous. Both artists are on the Def Jam label.
Ne-Yo seemed disappointed with his 2010 album, Libra Scale, telling MTV News it was an "experiment."
"Libra Scale was a project, it was an experiment. The people that got it, got it. The people that didn't, it's all good. I got a little cool for the room, I understand that. But this next album is more about just listening to the music, vibing out, determine your own adventure, back to what it is I normally do. Be looking for that around September."
Fabolous and Ne-Yo have partnered up before. They first connected on Fabolous' 2007 single "Make Me Better" and then worked on Jamie Foxx's "She Got Her Own." Their last collaboration was on Ne-Yo's "Crazy Love."
