Rick Ross Arrested
Rick Ross was reportedly arrested for marijuana possession in a Louisiana hotel earlier this week. According to a new report from New York Magazine, the "Aston Martin Music" rapper was taken into custody by police in Shreveport after he was found with one gram of the drug.
The police were reportedly called to the Shreveport Hilton when a customer staying near Ross' room smelled an odor of marijuana smoke coming from his room. Local police later reported that a member of Ross' entourage was also arrested in the bust for possession of eight grams of pot.
The rapper, who borrowed his moniker from the famed Los Angeles drug boss of the same name, was charged with misdemeanor possession and released shortly there after. He is currently on tour with Lil Wayne, supporting his current release Teflon Don.

Willow Smith Takes A Shot At Chris Brown
Roc Nation's Willow Smith has reportedly shared her input on R&B singer Chris Brown's public outburst earlier this week at "Good Morning America" after he allegedly destroyed property and stormed from its New York City building. Willow took aim at Brown's head via her Twitter account this week. While her info is a little misguided, 9 year-old Willow Smith still voiced her opinion on Chris Brown:
"So Chris Brown is going to prison now breaking a window at ABC, but he didnt go for hurting Rihanna? #karma,"
Chris Brown in fact did not violate probation because GMA is not seeking to press charges. Feels like Willow forgot to log out of her Twitter, and someone else voiced their open on her page. Very out of the ordinary. (Karen Civil)
Yesterday, Brown appeared on BET's "106 & Park" to publicly apologize and address the situation.
"So when we actually did this event, everything was cool. ... Everything that was sent to me was about the album. That's what we were talking about. So when the interview proceeded, I was thrown off. I felt like, ok, they told us this to get us on the show and exploit me. I took it very, very hard. I kept my composure throughout the whole interview. ... Lil Wayne HQ has announced Lil Wayne surprised fans by dropping the second single from his forthcoming Tha Carter IV album that will be available in stores on May 16th! The record, which is the clean version for now, is called “If I Die Today” and features Rick Ross.
Chris Brown Erupts On Good Morning America Set
Chris Brown reportedly exploded on the set of ABC's Good Morning America earlier this week, touched off when interviewer Robin Roberts asked the singer to comment on his 2009 altercation with Rihanna.
Brown shrugged off the question saying that he'd prefer to talk about his new album F.A.M.E., which hit stores this week.
"It's not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I'm past that in my life. Today's the album day, so that's what I'm focused on," he said. "This album is what I want people to hear and people to really get into, so definitely this album is what I want them to talk about and not stuff that happened two years ago."
Brown later gave the first of two scheduled performances and then stormed backstage where he allegedly began screaming and tearing up his dressing room. Security on the set was called and shortly after Brown was seen exiting the building without a shirt.
Moments after the incident he took to Twitter, writing: "I'm so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t."
Roberts later commented on the incident via Twitter, saying: "Sure has been an interesting AM @GMA. Still sorting thru everything myself. Just my 2nd day on twitter, wonder what tomorrow will bring?"

Soulja Boy's Brother Dies in Accident
Soulja Boy is facing his biggest life challenge yet. The 20-year-old rapper shared with his Twitter followers that he lost his younger brother on Sunday night in an automobile accident and is stricken with grief from the tragic event.
“At home crying my eyes out I can’t believe my Lil bro is gone… today is so not my day.. RIP lil brother love you always :(,” tweeted a somber Soulja Boy.
Miami Mike, president of Soulja Boy’s S.O.D.M.G. label, expressed support for the “Crank That” hitmaker and his family. “The Flags are @ Half Staff @ the Offices of SODMG & PTE, R.I.P. to @Souljaboy little brother who passed-way in a auto crash last nite :-(.”
His collaborator Sean Kingston also offered his condolences, writing, “Smh life is really short man.. Why do the good die young smh @SouljaBoy keep your head up stay strong..Ima keep u in my prayers bro realtalk.”
Wyclef Hospitalised While in Haiti
Singer Wyclef Jean, who is currently in Haiti to support a presidential candidate, was shot in the hand last night.
Right before Election Day, gunmen opened fire at the vehicle Wyclef Jean was in Port-au-Prince.

Nate Dogg's Cause of Death Confirmed
Fans and media alike have wondered what claimed Nate Dogg's life since his untimely death last Wednesday. Now Nate’s attorney confirms that the former Death Row star died of complications from multiple strokes.
Nate first suffered a stroke in late 2007 and is said to have suffered at least two more since then, leaving him partially paralyzed.

Lil Wayne Pushes Ths Carter IV Release Date Forward!
Some great news Young Moneyians/Wayniacs! Lil Wayne has announced that he is finished with Tha Carter IV and the official release date will be May 16th (not May 24th).
“Tha Carter IV is done,” Wayne told MTV News. “All they need to do is tell Tez (manager Cortez Bryant) to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out.”Bryant, Weezy’s longtime manager, was in attendance and provided the specific release date. “May 16, believe that,” Wayne said. “It can come out tomorrow ’cause I’m so finished … Tha Carter IV will be dropping May 16. Jay-Z & Beyonce to Appear on Detox Album!
Jay-Z and wife Beyonce are back to making beautiful music together again.
No, the pair didn’t have a nasty fallout or any other marital differences nor are the tabloid rumors of them splitting hold true. An unknown source told British newspaper The Sun that Jay-Z and Dr. Dre recorded verses for an unnamed track for Dre’s upcoming final album Detox, and that there was space left in the track for Beyonce to deliver a chorus (could this be the leaked "Under Pressure" track??). This comes as big news as the megastar power couple has not recorded jointly since 2007 on Jay’s American Gangster album on the song “Pray.”
The full quote from the source read: “Jay and Dre have recorded their verses with the chorus left open for Beyoncé to sing. The producer has worked on Detox for over a decade. He wanted the couple together.” Jay and Beyonce have paired up on hits songs many times such as the Grammy winning “Crazy In Love” and the sweeping “Bonnie & Clyde” tracks.
If the news of the collaboration holds true, the list of confirmed features for Dre’s last opus include Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Akon, Skylar Grey and buzzing young Cali rapper Kendrick Lamar. Rappers The Game and Slim Da Mobster also have been listed to appear on the record along with English electro pop duo La Roux. Dre has already released two singles from Detox, “Kush” and “I Need A Doctor” –with the latter receiving video treatment and serving as a launching pad for Skylar Grey’s heavy buzz and skyrocketing career.

One of the most distinct voices of the G-funk era in hip-hop, rapper Nate Dogg, passed away yesterday, March 15th (USA), the rapper's family confirm to the Hollywood Reporter. He was 41. Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel D. Hale, had suffered strokes in both 2007 and 2008, but his death has been attributed to "complications from multiple strokes," his lawyer Mark Geragos said. Often recruited to adorn choruses in Death Row Records' glory days, Nate Dogg exploded onto the music scene as Warren G's gat-busting partner-in-crime on the hit "Regulate." Nate also frequently collaborated with his high school friend Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Tupac Shakur, Eminem, and 50 Cent.
The biggest tracks to feature Nate Dogg, a four-time Grammy nominee, include Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode," Ludacris' "Area Codes," 50 Cent's "21 Questions," Eminem's "Shake That" and, our personal favorite, his own solo track "Never Leave Me Alone" with Snoop Dogg. In addition to appearing on every great rap album from The Chronic to Doggystyle to All Eyez on Me to Get Rich or Die Tryin', Nate released three solo albums on his own. He also made the "Eastside Hotel" one of the most famous locales in hip-hop history.
"We lost a true legend in hip-hop and R&B. One of my best friends and a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at Poly High where we met," Snoop Dogg said on Twitter. Diddy Tops Jay-Z's Fortune
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has beaten Jay-Z to the top of the latest list to find the richest man in hip-hop.
Forbes magazine editors estimate Diddy has a fortune of $475 million - just $25 million more than his rap mogul rival Jay-Z.
Dr. Dre came in a distant third with $125 million, while Birdman and 50 Cent tied for fourth with estimated $100 million fortunes.
Usher Hit With Sex Tape Allegations
Usher is at the center of controversy over a sex tape, which allegedly features the singer with his ex-wife Tameka Foster.
Reporters at TMZ.com claim to have been offered footage which allegedly shows Usher in bed with his former partner. The tape is being shopped around to various media outlets, and could turn up for public viewing soon.
The website reports the tape could have been one of the items taken when Usher's car was broken into back in 2009.
A representative for the singer had not commented on the reports as WENN went to press.
Usher and Foster divorced in 2009 after two years of marriage.

As you can see in the photo above, they are looking to release Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV album on May 24th this year! Other artists on the Young Money, Cash Money label dropping in 2011 are: Bow Wow, Glasses Malone, Brisco, Lil Twist, DJ Khaled, Birdman, Jay Sean, and Drake. I hope all of this is true, but we all know what YMCMB are like when it comes to release dates.

Lupe Fiasco Releases New Album
Lupe Fiasco's third studio album, Lasers is now available. The album features production from the Neptunes, Needlz, Alex da Kid, Syience and collaborations with John Legend, Trey Songz, Eric Turner and Sarah Green.
Fiasco recorded Lasers between 2009 and 2010 and though the album was finished for some time, his record label Atlantic held back its release. Fiasco had initially planned to release a triple album titled LupE.N.D. and then retire from music, but was prevented from doing so by the label.
Prior to the release he spoke on the setbacks during a radio interview saying: "It's one of the sadder parts of being on a major record label. At a certain point it's out of your hands. About a date for Lasers, it's truly on them. I have no idea what they're going to do."

Prodigy (of Mobb Deep) Released From Prison
Early this morning, Prodigy of Mobb Deep was released from Mid-State Correctional Facility in upstate New York after serving 3 years for gun possession.
Prodigy’s G-Unit family was on hand to welcome home the “Shook Ones Pt 2″ rapper as he exited the facility on a snowy morning. ThisIs50.com posted an exclusive photo of Prodigy just moments after he walked out. Below is the first image since his release:
Bow Wow Dropped From Cash Money Records?
Bow Wow signed to Cash Money Records back in 2009, but it looks like the canine rapper might have been dropped from the label without releasing an album with them.
All mentions of Bow Wow have been removed from Cash Money’s website, a move that we know Universal makes only after an artist has been notified that they have been dropped from the label.
