Lil Wayne Talks About 'How To Live'

Lil Wayne recently opened up about his single "How To Live," saying that he's never had a track like it.

Speaking to MTV News soon after the filming of his recent MTV Unplugged installment, Lil Wayne said, "It's an amazing song. When I listen to it, I get goose bumps. And I feel like the song is gonna take me somewhere that I've never been musically."

The track, which will appear on the star's upcoming Tha Carter IV, leaked to the Internet late last week.

During the MTV interview, the rapper also talked about his current tour, which was recently extended by another 40 dates.

"You know that if you come to a Lil Wayne show two years from now, you already know that 'I'm gonna get rap - some of the best rap - I'm gonna get some guitar, I'm gonna get some singin', I'm gonna get some dancin', I'm gonna get some old-school music, and I'm goin' to a show tonight.' And I think that's where this song is directing me to."

Nicki Minaj, Rihanna Send Love To Injured Sean Kingston

 Sean Kingston has been receiving get-well wishes from the hip-hop community since word broke that he was injured in a jet ski accident in Miami Beach, Florida. Stars like Nicki Minaj and Rihanna have reached out via Twitter to the singer.
"My love & prayers are with Sean Kingston & his family," Minaj tweeted. Meanwhile, Rihanna said, "Sean we praying for u baby."
Kingston is reportedly in critical condition after the accident, which took place on Sunday evening. According to media reports, the singer crashed his jet ski into a bridge.
"Sean Kingston was in an accident today. No further details are available at the moment," a spokesperson said soon after the accident. "He and his family thank everyone for the well-wishes."

Diddy is ready for another name change. Yesterday (May 19) the hip-hop mogul took to YouTube to announce his new moniker, “Swag.” XXLMag.com reached out to Lil B, the man arguably responsible for the term’s newfound popularity to find out his reaction to the news.

“It’s all good,” the Based God said. “Diddy is my family and we finna get in the studio! I’mma have the first feature from Swag.”

Diddy, who recently performed a show with the 2011 XXL Freshman in the Bay Area, explained his new alter-ego as so:  “I decided that I’m gonna change my name for a week in honor of my comeback,” the Dirty Money honcho said. “I’ve gone as Puff, Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Eminem & Rihanna Clean Up At Billboard Awards

Rihanna and Eminem were among the big winners at the Billboard Music Awards over the weekend. The event took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22 and the "S&M" singer kicked off the night with a performance alongside Britney Spears.

Eminem reigned supreme at this year's event taking home Artist of the Year. And though the Detroit MC was not on hand to receive the awards, he went on to also score Top Male Artist, Billboard 200 Album, Rap Artist, Rap Song and Rap Album for his 2010 release Recovery.

Riri also had a big night in the awards department taking three awards home including the Top Female and Top Radio Artist of the year. Other top winners at the event included Justin Bieber, who won six awards, and Taylor Swift who took the Top Country Album and Billboard 200 Artist prizes.

Drake Previews Track From New Album

Drake has offered up the first glimpse at his eagerly awaited sophomore release Take Care. The Toronto-based MC released a preview of a new track called "Dreams Money Can Buy" earlier this week through his official blog.

In the post, Drizzy revealed that the track is "a song that I felt the need to share. Not my single. Just a piece of my story," adding "hear me out though . . . Take Care."

The announcement comes at a busy time for Drake, who recently released a remix of "Wildfire" by SBTRKT and Little Dragon. He was also named as a nominee in multiple categories for the upcoming MuchMusic Video Awards, which are set to take place in his hometown on June 19.

Drizzy also made recent headlines when he earned a reported $250,000 for a performance at the swanky bar mitzvah for the son of NBC chief Jeff Zucker.

Game Sets Release Date For R.E.D Album

Nearly two years in the making, Game has finally set a release date for his R.E.D. Album. The oft-delayed album will see its release through Interscope Records.

Game took to his Twitter page to announce the news of the release.

"#alliwantis for my fans to know that the R.E.D. Album will be in-stores AUGUST 23rd!!! Thanks for the continuous love & support. #REDnation," he wrote. "Just got off a conference call with Jimmy Iovine & @interscope. Aug 23rd is the release date & it's like a FAT GIRL..... It won't move!"

R.E.D. Album, Game's fourth LP, features the single "Red Nation," for which the rapper recently shot a video with Lil Wayne.

"It's like Mad Max mixed with Nas' 'One Mic' video, where there's riots going on in the background," he explained to Billboard.

Lil Wayne To Appear On MTV Unplugged

Lil Wayne will appear on MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged next month as the rapper prepares for the release of his latest studio offering, Tha Carter IV.

"Lil Wayne is an amazing choice for Unplugged as he is at hip-hop's forefront - leading a new generation of artists whose appeal spans across music genres and playlists," Amy Doyle, MTV's EVP of Music and Talent, said in a statement. "Lil Wayne's skills, influence and catalog are a powerful addition to the legacy of artists who have rocked the Unplugged stage."

Wayne will follow in the footsteps of other legendary acts that have previously gone unplugged for MTV, including Eric Clapton, Mariah Carey, R.E.M., Jay-Z and Bob Dylan.

MTV2 Presents: Lil Wayne Unplugged will air at 9 p.m. ET on June 12.

M-Bone (of Cali Swag District) Dies At Age 22

(CBS) One of the "Teach me How to Dougie" rappers was pronounced dead late Sunday night.

Cali Swag District's M-bone was reportedly the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting in his hometown of Inglewood, Calif. Law enforcement officials have labeled the shooting a random act of violence.

TMZ reports that the 22-year-old rapper, born Montae Talbert, was sitting in his parked car in front of a liquor store in Inglewood at 11:32 p.m. on Sunday when the shots were heard. He was taken to UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

TMZ sources add that the shooter was driving alone down La Brea Avenue when he fired his gun. According to a KTLA report, the shooter, who was driving a red Mustang, drove off after firing his gun and soon returned to the scene.

Inglewood detectives are currently investigating the scene as it is still unclear how everything went down.

According to a statement by Lt. Michael Marshall, obtained by E! Online, Talbert was sitting in the passenger seat of his car when the shooter pulled up alongside him and unloaded "at least two rounds" into the car.

Police did not immediately identify M-Bone as the victim, pending notification of next of kin. TMZ reports confirmed his death early Sunday morning.

Earlier this morning, Cali Swag District's lead rapper, Smoove tweeted, "Ma life changed drastically in the. Blink of an eye rip mbone."

T.I To Be Released September 29

T.I. will be a free man on September 29, as the rapper, real name Clifford Harris Jr., will be released from Arkansas' Federal Correctional Institution Forrest City Low after serving an 11-month sentence for violating his parole.

The sentence, which began November 1, 2010, stems from a drug-related arrest made in Hollywood, California last September. Police pulled over the rapper and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, after the couple made an illegal U-turn. An ensuing search of their vehicle turned up contraband materials, which led to the couple's detainment.

T.I. did not face drug charges following the arrest, but pled guilty to violating his parole. The arrest came after the Grand Hustle Records founder was released from prison after having served time for a weapons conviction.

50 Cent & Jay-Z Are Strictly Business

50 Cent has noted that he is willing to work with Jay-Z, but that they will never be friends. The rapper explained their relationship in an interview with MTV News.

"It's not like we have something against each other to make us enemies. Me and Jay will use each other. Repeatedly. For energy."

The 35-year-old rapper added: "These people [like Jay-Z] are people I associate with. We are in the same business. We are not necessarily friends. We don't call each other for no reason."

50 Cent and Jay-Z reportedly ended their prior beefs at the Jay-Z and Eminem concert at Detroit's Comerica Park last year. Fiddy would not, however, elaborate on the content of their conversation.

"We got a chance to kick it for a minute. I know people were interested in what that conversation was like. But they can ask Jay-Z," the rapper adds.

Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon have named their twin babies. The couple welcomed their new son, Moroccan Scott Cannon, and daughter, Monroe Cannon, into the world on Saturday, April 30, which was also their wedding anniversary.

"I wish I could personally thank all those around the world who continue 2 send congrats+prayers for #dembabies! They're doing great . . . And they are the most incredible gifts we could ever have imagined!" she said via Twitter.

The couple thought of the name of their son, naming him after the top tier of Carey's NYC apartment, which is called the Moroccan Room, where Cannon proposed to Carey in 2008, while their daughter Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, according to Carey's official blog.

Cannon tagged in on Twitter, joking that he may struggle to find anniversary gifts that can compete with the timing of their children.

"My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life! . . . I won't ever be able to top this!"he wrote.

Chris Brown Releases Video To "She Aint You"

Chris Brown has shot a video for his latest single, "She Ain't You," which comes off his record F.A.M.E. The vid, directed by Colin Tilley (the Cataracs, the Pack), opens with a dedication to Michael Jackson.

In addition, Brown samples the Jackson track "Human Nature" while performing some very Jackson-esque dance routines.

Tilly and Brown were abuzz with anticipation on Twitter days before the tune's release.

"still havnt slept. sometimes delivering projects is a b***h. perfection is key tho . . .," tweeted Tilly on April 27.

And, Brown hit him back the next day:

"JUST SAW THE 'she aint you' video . . . its coming ASAP . . . im hype."

"She Ain't You" comes on the heels of Brown's previous chart-topper "Look At Me Now," which has sat atop the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for six weeks.

Dr Dre To Release New Detox Single

Dr. Dre is set to debut his new single "Die Hard," featuring Eminem, Friday May 6 (USA time).

"Die Hard" is the third single off of Dre's long delayed Detox album, and the second to feature Eminem. The two also collaborated on the album's second single "I Need a Doctor."

The duo have teamed up on a number of occasions in the past, including a recent television spot for the Chrysler 300. Dre also produced Eminem's sophomore album The Marshall Mathers LP, which has been certified diamond by the RIAA as it surpassed the ten million mark for copies sold.

There is no official release date for Detox.

Hollywood couple Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey officially welcomed twins over the weekend as the renowned R&B singer/actress gave birth to a boy and girl in Los Angeles, details of the birth landed across the Internet in the afternoon on April 30.

Nick Cannon confimed the birth via his Twitter account:

"Congratulations to Mariah & Nick on the birth of#dembabies!!" a rep wrote on the singer's Twitter page. "Born, April 30th at 12:07pm ET. Mommy, Daddy & #dembabies are all doing fine!"
